Pup Joints are short lengths of tubing, and are used for spacing out downhole assemblies, as well as handling production tubing accessories.

 

Features and Benefits:

· Pup joints can be ordered individually or in sets. Having sets on location gives the operator the flexibility of adjusting location depths of downhole assemblies, such as spacing out tubing hanger when landing productions seals.

· The pup joints are available as specified in API or to the thread manufacturer’s specs.

· Pup joints are available as box x pin, pin x box, box x box, or pin x pin. These can also be provided with plan end x plain end and with or without upsets.

· Couplings can be hand tightened, torque turned and tested, or furnished loose.

· Typical sets come in the following sizes: 2’, 4’, 6’, 8’ and 10’; however, any length can be manufactured upon request.
